Safety is my NUMBER ONE priority in any photo-shoot I do.
Its not just about holding a baby and taking a photo, its about knowing how they are able to be moved, and how they stay in a comfortable position. It's about gaining knowledge through years of courses and understanding how to carefully manoeuvre a baby so they are not in pain or potentially damaging their tiny bones. I am always making sure the baby has a supervised spotter near by in case of muscle spasms when the baby is in a cosy deep sleep, or knowing a baby could potentially role off anytime. Safety is important and critical!! REGARDLESS. If I get a request to do a certain pose and if I can not see myself doing it, I will refuse. If i am not comfortable putting the baby in a safe position I will refuse. I am thinking of the baby first and foremost. Same is applied to any other photo-shoot with children and families, I will not endanger others to get the shoot they want if it warrants the safety of others. I will not proceed a shoot to endanger others. Because SAFETY is my priority. I am always on the look out for potential hazards and dangers that could occur, there have been in the past a few clients wanting a shoot near a lake, this is where I say I am sorry but I can not have you standing there, however we can move you here for this reason. I have so much experience as a photographer however people forget; its not just about taking the shot, its about knowing how to handle a newborn or knowing what is safe and what can endanger others.
Remember to always be safe, because that is me as a photographer to keep everyone happy and safe. #safety #newbornphotography #familyphotography #baby #photographer #weddingphotographer #Tasmaniaphotographer #trainedphotographer #experiencedphotographer #knowallaboutsafety #refuseendagingothers #itsaboutsafety #safetyfirst Happy Thursday to you all. :)
